Sydney Linux Users Group (SLUG)

Linux Australia and SLUG will once again have a stand at the annual Education Expo. Held over a weekend, it is a must-see for anyone interested in K-12 education in NSW.

We have a well-positioned stand this year, at co-ordinates F9.

In previous years we have been one of the most popular stands, attracting children, parents and educators with our demonstrations of free and open source software. This year, we hope to surpass that success. We plan to have on display:

• information leaflets, CDs and other giveaways, including copies of Fedora, Ubuntu, Edubuntu and the OpenEducationDisc
• computers with children's software (Edubuntu) — kids will be welcome to muck around on them
• ASUS Eee PCs
• OLPC XO laptops, thanks to OLPC Australia
